Birmingham, AL — As the 2025 high school football season approaches, all eyes are on John Carroll Catholic High School’s rising senior, Niajel Morgan. Standing at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Morgan returns as a varsity starter on a defense ready to make some noise in Alabama’s competitive high school football scene.

Morgan plays a hybrid role at outside linebacker and defensive end, using his blend of speed, strength, and football IQ to disrupt offenses. Last season, he totaled over 25 tackles, with 7 tackles for loss2 sacks, a quarterback hurry, and one pass breakup, proving himself to be a versatile and relentless defender off the edge.

In addition to his football prowess, Morgan is also a standout athlete on the track and field team, where he continues to hone his explosiveness and agility—qualities that directly translate to his performance on the gridiron.

Off the field, Niajel is known for his calm demeanor and love for the outdoors. “I love being out in nature”

As he enters his senior year, Morgan’s sights are set high—not just on a successful season, but also on his dream of playing college football at the next level. Among his top dream schools: GeorgiaMissouri, and his home-state powerhouse, Alabama.

With his natural leadership, athletic ability, and growing stat sheet, don’t be surprised if Niajel Morgan’s name becomes one to watch this fall—and well beyond.
