Standing at an impressive 6’2, Jordan Hicks of Calvert Hall College High School has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most promising defensive backs in the Class of 2028. The Maryland native has been putting the region — and the country — on notice with his length, athleticism, and pure defensive instincts that set him apart from his peers.
Hicks’ impact has been felt both locally and nationally. This offseason, he earned MVP recognition at the You Are Athlete Showcase (DMV) and again at the Southern Exposure Camp in Atlanta, Georgia, where he showcased elite technique and rare football IQ for his age.
On the field, Hicks’ numbers speak volumes: 19 pass breakups, 10 tackles, and 2 interceptions — all while facing some of the toughest competition in the region. His ability to lock down receivers on the perimeter and read quarterbacks with precision has made him a nightmare for opposing offenses.
With long, rangy arms and the confidence of a veteran, Hicks commands his side of the field. Quarterbacks hesitate to test him — and when they do, they often regret it.
Colleges are beginning to take notice as well. Boston College became the first program to officially extend an offer to Hicks, marking the start of what’s expected to be a long list of suitors.
As Hicks continues to develop, his combination of size, skill, and discipline makes him one of the most intriguing young prospects in the 2028 class. The ceiling is sky-high — and it’s clear that Jordan Hicks is only just getting started.
Welcome to the Jordan Hicks era — where receivers get no rest and quarterbacks think twice before throwing his way.
