Standing tall at 6’1” and 160 pounds, Lawrence Williams III—known to teammates and coaches simply as “L3”—is quickly emerging as one of Parkview High School’s most promising young talents. A two-sport athlete excelling in both football and track, Williams brings speed, physicality, and relentless drive every time he steps on the field.
Last season on JV, Williams established himself as a defensive playmaker, racking up tackles and pass breakups while mentoring his teammates with humility and leadership beyond his years. His work ethic in the offseason has already translated to the varsity level—where in just two games this season, he’s posted an impressive 16 tackles and 5 pass breakups, making his presence felt in the secondary.
Williams credits his improvement to sharpening both his athletic skill and mental toughness, as well as competing in high-level camps last summer at UNC Charlotte, Middle Tennessee, Howard, and Western Kentucky. Those experiences gave him exposure, refined his technique, and prepared him for the next level of competition.
Off the field, Williams is just as dynamic. He has a deep love for music, using it as both a creative outlet and a way to stay grounded. His inspirations come from athletes who embody passion and intensity—naming Derwin James and Kobe Bryant as his favorite role models. He wears jersey number 3 with pride, symbolizing his confidence and determination to stand out.
When asked about the type of leadership he values, Williams points to Mike Tomlin, head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. “He’s a good coach and a leader that motivates his team all the time,” Williams says—echoing the same motivational spirit he tries to carry for his own teammates.
Looking ahead, Williams is already attracting attention and has shown interest in schools such as Western Kentucky, UNC Charlotte, Florida A&M, Middle Tennessee, USF, and UCF. With his size, skill set, and relentless mindset, the future is bright for L3 as he continues to grow into one of Georgia’s rising defensive standouts.
For now, Parkview fans can count on Williams to deliver highlight plays, steady leadership, and the kind of work ethic that leaves a lasting impact—on and off the field.
