Standing at just 5’0”, Zariah Strozier might not tower over her competition, but she plays the game of soccer far larger than her frame suggests. Hailing from Covington, Georgia, the Alcovy High School standout has made a name for herself as one of the most dynamic and fearless forwards in the Class of 2026.
This past season, Strozier lit up the scoreboard with an impressive 29 goals, a testament to her blazing speed, sharp field intelligence, and relentless drive. She wears the No. 4 jersey, and when she steps onto the pitch, her presence is undeniable. Whether slicing through defenders or finishing with clinical precision, Strozier has quickly become a rising star in Georgia high school soccer.
Her journey is also defined by passion and balance. Off the field, Strozier enjoys expressing her creativity through doing hair, a talent she calls one of her biggest joys. On the field, her inspiration comes from U.S. soccer legend Alex Morgan, whose competitive fire and goal-scoring ability mirror the path Strozier is carving for herself.
Her growth as a player has been shaped by strong mentorship—most notably from Coach Sean, who Strozier credits as her favorite coach. “He constantly pushed me to get better while making me feel like his own,” she shared, highlighting the importance of tough love and encouragement in her development.
The hard work is paying off. Strozier recently committed to South Carolina State University, choosing the Bulldogs as the next stage of her soccer journey. In addition, she holds an offer from Emmanuel College and has drawn the attention of larger programs, including Coastal Carolina, the University of Pittsburgh, and Kennesaw State, who are actively evaluating her talent. Last summer, she even sharpened her skills by attending a Coastal Carolina ID Camp, where she competed against top-tier athletes and gained valuable exposure.
For Alcovy High School, Strozier is more than just a goal scorer—she’s a leader, a fighter, and an athlete who proves that heart and determination can outshine size. As her senior year approaches, all eyes will be on her to see just how much further she can elevate her game.
