
Player Spotlight: Leslie “LJ” Nobles – Saraland High School, Class of 2026
Standing at 5’11”, 215 pounds, Leslie “LJ” Nobles has built a reputation as one of Saraland High School’s most versatile and physical athletes. A true multi-phase player, Nobles impacts the game at fullback, on the defensive line, and long snapper—bringing toughness, intelligence, and leadership to every snap.
A 3.6 GPA student-athlete, Nobles is as sharp in the classroom as he is on the field, showing the discipline and work ethic that make him a cornerstone of Saraland’s program.
This season, LJ has delivered big-time performances against some of the toughest competition in Alabama. Against powerhouse Jackson High School, the #1 team in 4A and defending state champions loaded with four- and five-star talent, Nobles turned in one of his strongest outings of the year. He registered two fumble recoveries on defense and opened lanes on offense with his punishing blocks, helping the Spartans battle in the trenches.
Just one week later, Nobles played a major role in Saraland’s dominant 46-0 win over Blount High School—his GRANDFATHER & FATHER’s alma mater. LJ’s physicality was on full display as he cleared paths offensively and anchored the defense to keep Blount out of the end zone.
